What problems were we tasked with improving?

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) faced significant challenges due to their reliance on legacy systems and substantial manual processes. These inefficiencies were impacting employees throughout the MoJ and the citizens who rely on their services. As part of their overall digital strategy, the MoJ aimed to implement low-code solutions across the organisation to reduce technology and operational costs, improve colleague and citizen experiences, minimise risks, and enhance data insight and intelligence capabilities.

What did we enact to help with the problem?

Robiquity was engaged to leverage our deep experience with automation technologies and our ability to deliver business value at pace. Within the Power Platform deal, we supported the rollout of automation solutions across the MoJ. By automating manual processes and integrating systems, we aimed to transform the way people work and interact with the services and functions of the MoJ. Key initiatives included training operational and technical staff on new technologies to ensure successful adoption and sustainability.

What were we able to achieve?

The implementation of automation solutions at the MoJ has resulted in: reduced operational costs, minimised manual tasks, faster processing times and enhanced service quality. These efficiencies have led to more effective budget allocation and improved public services. The Power Platform enhanced security, offered flexibility, improved performance, and ensured the MoJ's digital infrastructure is future proof. The rapid delivery of low-code automation solutions created excitement across the organisation, leading to increased demand for Power Platform solutions as an alternative to outdated legacy applications or lengthy IT transformations.

LESSONS LEARNED

What did we learn along the way?

Through our engagement with the MoJ, we gained a better understanding of the complexities of public sector operations and the critical need for efficiency and accuracy in processes. We learned the importance of involving end-users earlier in the programme to gain the best insights and opportunities from the outset. This understanding has strengthened our methodologies and technologies, enabling us to approach similar projects with confidence.
