Overwhelming demand & evolving nature of crime:
- In both volume and complexity
- Epidemic of crime in certain areas e.g. violence against women and girls [VAWG)
- lnflux of digital crime and evidence (e.g. Fraud and computer misuse now 50% of all recorded crime)
- Having to deal with broader issues beyond policing (e.g. mental health incidents)
Inefficiences:
- Administrative burden of compliance (e.g., 148 pages solely concerned with the recording of fraud offences’, with fraud now making up over 40% of all crime)
- Manual and inefficient processes

Workforce:
